A mother of three kids whom she named after the archangels, JAN CHAVEZ ARCEO has always been a teacher and an activist by heart. But instead of heading for the boondocks after graduating from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, she opted to join the establishment believing she would have a stronger and louder voice if she were an accomplished professional. She now attempts to more actively do her share in nation-building by writing about different causes and advocacies and, with hope, make more people start to think that it is actually cool, easy, and fun to help and try to make a difference in the lives of others. She is currently the project director for institutional partnerships of the Dove Self-Esteem Fund.
